This small outdoor kitty tree
is made of eastern red cedar (also called aromatic red cedar)
and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor (you
must keep it out of the rain) use. At 3 feet
tall, this piece is just the right height for placing in
front of a window or behind a couch where your kitty can
curl up in the 14" diameter wicker basket nest. And
if you kitty is in a playful mood she can attack feather
critters hanging from the trunk that will sway in the slightest
breeze. The 24 inch wide cross shaped base is very stable
and easily positioned in tight quarters.

has been shaped, scraped, and hand sanded to a smooth finish
and yet retains its natural appearance. There are interesting
contours
and
textures for your kitties scratching pleasure, and the kitties
can really dig their claws into this kitty tree.
Eastern red cedar is a perfect
scratching medium for cats. The creamy wood is hard enough
for satisfying scratching yet not as hard as to splinter
and stick in the cat’s paws. The red heart and knot wood
is very fragrant and the reason eastern red cedar is also
known as aromatic red cedar.
