Description
Every cat, big or small, young or old, needs a place to stretch and scratch claws, and this carpet cat scratching post is the perfect solution for all kitties who do not like to scratch on sisal rope. Compact enough to fit in any room of the home, this solid kiln-dried fir post comes wrapped in quality 30- to 39-oz. thick carpet that's soft to the kitty's touch.
With a solid wood pole and a plywood base, this sturdy cat scratching post is available in three sizes. Depending on your cat's size, you can select from 20 inches, 25 inches, or 30 inches in height. Each one has a 17-inch square base that's tip-resistant, making it easy for a cat to stretch and claw at the post. Cat is 16 lb. And about 2’ long. Maine coon but not a giant one. Will he be able to pull 30” size over? Should I get him a shorter one?
-
For a big cat like a Maine Coon you should not get a shorter size than 30". The 30" should be stable enough for him.

Would you be able to add a square perch at the top of one of your 30" scratching posts?

We can not add a perch at the top of these scratching posts, but you may check the following two items:

We can make the second one with carpet instead of sisal rope if you want.
