Unfortunaly, this is not what I had expected and it is a disappointment. For a heavy, large cat, the platform is much smaller than I had expected it to be. All around, I am now stuck with it due to the expense to return it. Its one of those things you just don't know what you are getting until it arrives and it turned out to not work for us. My larger cats don't have the space to lay out on the platform liked I had hoped they would.
