My 2 cats are about 11 lbs each. They claw their way up the sisal poles to the top perch and I can tell it’s because the scarcity of space around the condo for them to use it as a step. I am glad they get that workout of pole-climbing but the condo landing does not get used at all. I’ll be adding a wall shelf with a step-down so they can run a route with this tree as a starting point. I like how tall it is and for the small base it it balanced. I don’t think I’d make any modifications like removing the condo because it’s part of what makes it stable.

I received the cat condo on the 20th, as I expected, and put it together right away. I have two 7-month-old kittens and they really enjoy it very much, although they haven't figured out how to get to the top yet. It's a little wobbly, so I'm not sure if that scares them. It doesn't seem at all like it would fall over though because they were playing on it with each other and jumping around. I think it is a good product for the price.
